Sibylle Anderl holds a double-degree in physics and philosophy from TU Berlin, after which she did her Ph.D. in astrophysics and astronomy at the Universität Bonn. Since 2013, she works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut de Planétologie et d'Astrophysique de Grenoble on the topics of star formation and astrochemistry.

Joana Arantes is a native of Viana do Castelo, Portugal and holds a degree in Psychology and Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Sciences. After postdoctoral work at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, she took up a post as Invited professor at the School of Psychology at Minho academy where she founded a Research Group on Evolutionary Psychology as part of the Human Cognition Lab. The group’s research focuses on, amongst other things, factors that influence time perception and decision making.

Irene Fernández Arcas is a berlin based illustrator- yes just another of the thousand millions artists of the city. She was once born in Granada, south of Spain; and after years of drawing and reading a lot of books, she went study journalism and photography in Málaga. Bored of Andalucía (not because it isnt wonderful and exciting, but because an artist its often used to became bored and tired of things to be able to move foward), in 2008 she moved to Berlin. In 2012 started to study Visual Communication/ illustration in the school of arts Weisensee. Currently living in Lisbon, making a year of art-residency in Casa Senhora do Monte, and working as a freelancer.

THEORETICAL PHYSICIST
Professor Julian Barbour is a British theoretical physicist and visiting professor at the University of Oxford. He lives and works in rural Oxfordshire, choosing early in his career to eschew the academic environment in favour of independence.
His 1999 book The End of Time advanced the radical notion of timeless physics: that time, as we perceive it, does not exist as anything other than an illusion. His work addresses deficits in existing theories of time including Einstein’s general relativity, and the problems encountered when trying to reconcile the laws of gravity observed on the scale of stars and galaxies with the laws of quantum mechanics that govern the smallest particles.

In his home town of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with a small group of geeks, Brian set up Newcastle Maker Space, a place for creative use of technology.

John Kameel Farah’s musical work draws upon musical eras separated by centuries, from classical arabic forms, through medieval and renaissance, to avant-garde technique. He connects these seemingly unrelated eras together through his creativity and imagination, and enjoys juxtaposing ancient aesthetics and futuristic, “Sci-Fi” aesthetics side-by-side in his work.
By playing examples and speaking about musical history, he will also talk about rhythm in his work, and how he combines complex arabic classical rhythms and baroque counterpoint, and how the irregular timings lend themselves so well to creating beats in electronic music. John will also perform a live soundtrack to video simulations of galaxy formation, where each second equals several million years, created by Canadian astrophysicist John Dubinski.

Philipp Rahlenbeck is an experience architect who is convinced that human intuition will never be replaced by technology. He has a background in interaction design and programming. He studied computer sciences and worked internationally as a software developer for 8 years. He is the founder of Multitouch Berlin - a studio for multiuser experiences and interactive spaces and co-founder of Letters Are My Friends - a typography store and showroom. In his former life he had a short lived career as a VJ and mash-up artist called KE4.
hands on sound is a berlin based office for acoustic scenography. Founded by a sound designer and an architect, the team develops progressive sound installations, interactive exhibits, sound concepts and acoustic guidance systems for museums, exhibitions, galleries and in public space. hands on sound makes use of different technological and theoretical approaches like generative audio, aural architecture, psychoacoustics and specialized speaker systems. hands on sound mostly work in cooperation with partners within the range of scenography, architecture and communication.

Armin Keplinger works with digital image creation, with processual installations and time based sculptures. Trained as a multimedia artist, he utilizes state of the art techniques in order to explore the split between stages of time. Dr. Michał Klincewicz is an American philosopher of mind and a cognitive scientist. He is currently a post-doctoral researcher in the Berlin School of Mind and Brain, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He finished his Ph.D. in the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, under advisement from David M. Rosenthal, writing on the unity of consciousness over time.
His current research interests engage all aspects of mental time, including time perception and memory as well as the experience of duration and change. On his view, scientifically informed philosophy will soon be able to answer some of the deepest questions we currently have about the nature of temporal experience and perhaps also shed light on the relationship between mental time and physical time. He spent most his life in the timeless and simultaneously ever-changing New York City.

Ariane Koek (UK) is an award winning producer, Clore Fellow and the first cultural specialist appointed by CERN - the world's largest particle physics laboratory based outside Geneva, in Switzerland. She has led on International Arts at the laboratory since Spring 2010, creating and initiating the laboratory's first arts policy, Great Arts for Great Science. She also created, fundraises for, directs and curates the Arts@CERN programme, which comprises 3 strands - the the annual Collide@CERN artists residency awards, the new Accelerate@CERN artists research awards and the Visiting Artists programme, which has included such luminaries as William Forsythe, Esa Pekka Salonen and Wolfgang Tillmans. The philosophy behind the programme is that by colliding particle physics with the arts, great new ideas and works will emerge.
Prior to CERN, Ariane was CEO of the Arvon Foundation for Creative Writing which runs 120 writers residencies a year in 4 different locations, and she had an extensive award-winning career as a BBC producer and director in both radio and television, working across arts, science, the history of ideas and politics.

Alistair McClymont graduated from the Royal College of Art sculpture MA in 2005. His work is a continuing process of discovery and experimentation, ranging across a variety of materials and practices. Recent work is underlined by a search for what it is to be human. This might be our position in time and space on a grand scale, or singular observations on subjects that fascinate him. Each piece takes a small subject area and breaks it down into something understandable and perhaps beautiful. At times artworks take the form of direct demonstration, or experimentation. At other times the artworks are formed by phenomena: the sculpture, or image is created by a process that is out of his control and the final work points to that process. Underlying all the work is a deep concern for beauty and reason.

Focussing on the creation of audiovisual enviroments and installations, Pfadfinderei transforms digital media into space. Whether it is stage designs for electronic music acts, contemporary dance shows or classical concerts - Pfadfinderei's work is as widely ranged as the music styles it is designed for. Pfadfinderei started in the end 90ies in Berlin as a Print- and Font Design Studio, expanding towards Motion Design and interactive Room Installations over the years. Nowadays, Pfadfinderei work for international clients in the high class segment and collaborates with music acts of their choice.

After working for the World Science Festival 2008 in New York, he moved to Heidelberg in 2009 as managing scientist of the Centre for Astronomy Education and Outreach „Haus der Astronomie“ and outreach lead at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy.

Dr. Kilu von Prince is a linguist who currently works at Humboldt University. For her doctoral thesis, she documented two endangered Oceanic languages of Vanuatu.
The fascinating systems of temporal and modal markers in these languages has prompted her to focus on the differences - and similarities - in how natural languages encode temporal notions.
She has studied in Germany and China and has previously worked at Potsdam University and the Center for General Linguistics (ZAS) Berlin.

Zuvor arbeitete sie für die Modeaktivistin und Performancekünstlerin »Lisa D.« und in dem Veränderungsatelier »Bis es mir vom Leibe fällt«.

STUDIO FOR PHOTOGRAPHY AND CONCEPT
The artists Schall & Schnabel and Diana Wehmeier began their project PD628 in October 2013 with a first shoot combining blue darkness and laser light on parts of nude human bodies. This theme evolved over time, and by the third shoot the painter and human being Diana Wehmeier transformed into the intergalactic creature ELEKTRA628.
Since 2013 the both parties collaborate on different projects (SKINWALKER & PD628). Diana Wehmeier graduated from Dresden Academy of Fine Arts; SCHALL & SCHNABEL is a Studio for Photography and Concept which was founded in 2012 by Pierre Horn & Eileen Huhn.
